Valley Ventures is owned and operated by Bernard Nichols who’s been a lifelong nature lover. Bernard has owned and ridden horses as a hobby for decades. He’s also been a part-time tree crop farmer in Christian Valley for many years where he has a mature orchard. As our orchard matured over the years at Valley Ventures farm, we expanded to include flower crops and other small vegetable crops. Then we relocated our horses and added some guest-friendly facilities so we could share the loveliness of Christian Valley with you. That’s how Valley Ventures Nature Tours began. Bernard is known for the high quality and excellence he brings to whatever he does and he’ll personally ensure that your visit to Valley Ventures is enjoyable. We look forward to seeing you.
Treat yourself to a guided tour of our boutique farm in the heart of beautiful Christian Valley. Have an up close encounter with lush tropical fruit trees like mangoes, bananas, coconuts, oranges, tangerines and more. Enjoy our tropical flower garden which features several varieties of heliconias and soak up the awesome mountain scenery from our shaded verandah while you sample some farm fresh fruit also complimentary water will be provided and other refreshments will be on sale. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Sun block is essential and sunglasses and a hat would be useful. The time for this excursion is approximately 45 minutes but you will be able to linger for as long as you desire. This tour is available on all days except Saturdays throughout the day from 10:00 am. On this guided horseback tour you will discover an unforgettable side of Antigua. Your tour begins at the Valley Ventures farm and takes you on a gentle ride around the local farms of Christian Valley on the way to Dunning Dam – an attractive body of water in a pretty valley setting. You will be able to ride at your own comfortable pace and enjoy the scenic views along the trail . Our friendly team will ensure that you have a wonderful experience, so whether you are a total beginner or an experienced rider, if you love the outdoors, nature & horses, this one’s for you. This tour also includes the Valley Ventures farm tour. Beginner and experienced riders are welcomed ages 12 and above. Only experienced riders under 12 will be allowed on this excursion. The riding time is approximately 1¼ hrs and the total time for the excursion including briefing, mounting and dismounting is approximately 2½ hours at Christian Valley. This tour is available on all days except Saturdays at 9:30 am and 2:00 pm. We recommend that guests wear long pants and closed shoes where possible. Sun block is essential and sunglasses would be useful. For your safety, you will be required to wear the riding helmets provided and you will also be required to sign a disclaimer. A safety briefing and riding instructions will be given before mounting up. Friends are welcome to come along and relax on the verandah during the tour. Advanced bookings must be made for all tours.
